WP-HTML enables us to compose pages using (custom) HTML tags.
There are many terms to descibie deploying the content and functionality of one site in another.
By using the WordPress Rest API and Web Components, (Custom HTML Tags), we can deploy WP content and functionality with just two lines of code:
<script type='module' src="bundle.js"></script>
A complete website, (new tab), made entirely from Web Components that has a WP backend.
short video showing the use of Web Components loading WP JSON data into IndexedDB and reading data to the page.
This enables us to offer micro sites/micro services to other websites, particularly non-WP sites. With the trend of JS Frameworks moving towards packaging their apps as Web Components, applications will use components from various frameworks. Web Components can be bundled into the build process of frameworks.
WP can be one of these!
By using Custom HTML tags, we can create our own websites in a very HTML semantic way:
Using two lines of code - a JS file and an HTML Tag to output to, we can embed both content and functionality into another website on any HTML platform.
Using the WP REST API, we can create endpoints to provide our components with the data they need. The JS file can then render the content and functionality in a number of different ways without the need for the client site to do any coding.
A web component of <my-component></my-component> will be created to output posts.
